Accommodation

Alila Villas Uluwatu offers 65 villas including 56 One Bedroom Pool Villas (290 sqm), 4 Three Bedroom Hillside Villas (2000 sqm) and 5 Three Bedroom Cliff edge Villas (3000 sqm).

Each individual villa is specifically designed and constructed to follow an environmentally sustainable framework, with its own pool and private cabana overlooking the Indian Ocean. The 65 villas showcase contemporary interiors enhanced with touches of nature and traditional Balinese accents –reflected in planes of wood, water, stone and rattan.

Walkways and bridges connect the relaxation pavilions and pools to the spacious living areas. The open-plan design, unique flat lava rocks roof and bamboo ceiling allow the gentle sea breeze to circulate throughout all rooms of the villas.

Resort’s walls are made from batu palimanan from Jogjakarta, Indonesia. Bamboo ceilings and rattan interior are locally sourced and crafted in Bali. Wood materials are recycled from railway sleepers and telephone poles.

In Villa facilities include Oversized LED TV with satellite channels, telephone and WIFI connections, safety deposit box, Espresso coffee machine and tea making facilities, private bar, private pool, outdoor dining, private cabana and a deluxe bathroom equipped with indoor and outdoor rain & jet shower and  bathtub.

Alila Villas Uluwatu’s bespoke Journeys include a series of customised full-day and half-day activities and excursions integrating indigenous nature, traditional culture and local community for an authentic destination experience, allowing guests to gain a deeper and more meaningful appreciation of Uluwatu, Bali, and beyond.  

Options include the epicurean Journey to Gastronomy, Journey to Enlightment, immersion into the indigenous Bali lifestyle, discovery of Ancient Balinese Beauty Rituals, Aerial Yoga, surfing the swells of southern Bali with a professional surf coach, stand up paddle board yoga, sunset cruise and private beach dinner, coastal cruise and beach hopping adventure onboard a traditional “jukung” fishing boat and cycling off the usual tourist trails visiting nearby villages and landmarks ending the journey with a picnic lunch.

The resorts stunning infinity pool overlooks the ocean providing guests with a spectacular backdrop for relaxation and swimming.

Guests can indulge in various traditional Balinese and modern wellness treatments, massages, and therapies to rejuvenate their mind and body at the Spa &  Wellness Centre, and for those looking to stay active, there is a well-equipped fitness centre with modern exercise equipment.

The resort’s impressive library offers an elegant retreat from the vibrant energies of the outside world, where guests can relax with a good book or seek quiet contemplation.

Dining

Cire: Experience a tantalizing Mediterranean-inspired menu that is considered to be among the healthiest in the world with its focus on fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes, fish, nuts and olive oil, along with a culture of sharing food that nurtures the spirit of community. CIRE’s menu pairs fresh, seasonal ingredients with simple, straightforward recipes, elevating CIRE’s emphasis on gourmet comfort food to the next level. Open from 07.00 am – 11.00 pm

The Warung: presents wholesome traditional Indonesian and Balinese fare. Indoor and outdoor dining is provided in this welcoming yet sophisticated space. The friendly and convivial atmosphere enables diners to have a casual, laidback experience, whether they choose to interact with other guests at the communal tables or opt for the more private tables for two dotted around the outlet. Open from 11.00 am – 11.00 pm.

Sunset Cabana Bar: the perfect place to cosy up in the evening whilst enjoying sublime artisanal cocktails, perched over the cliff edge with unparalleled ocean views, the sound of waves crashing below, and a stunning Uluwatu sunset to relax to. Dramatic and seductive. A bar like nowhere else. Open from 11.00 am – 11.00 pm.

Batique: houses extensive collections of single malt whiskies, including some real rarities, complemented by fine cigars. For a lighter libation, it also offers a selection of original whiskey-based cocktails, classic cocktails, spirits and wines, while chill-out music and live DJ nights add to the cosy, clubby vibe. Open from 3.00 pm – midnight.

Situated on an elevated plateau along the southern coastline of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula, conveniently located 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International airport in Denpasar.

Family Travel

Alila Villas Uluwatu is a family friendly retreat. Complimentary cultural activities are available to keep young one’s engaged however there is no formal kids club.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Alila Uluwatu is May to September when the weather is dry, the skies are clear, and the temperatures are pleasant. It’s a great time for outdoor activities, beach days, and exploring the island. This period is also popular among tourists, so you can expect more crowds and higher prices.
