Castaway Island Resort Fiji offers sixty five spacious, traditionally thatched Fijian style bures with a choice of beach front, ocean view or island location. All bures feature one king size bed and most include two additional single beds in their configuration, comfortably sleeping up to four persons. Select bures can accommodate five guests, and one Family Bure sleeps a maximum of ten guests.
Each traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted ceiling with overhead fans and air conditioning. Sleeping and living quarters are separate and all bures have a refrigerator together with tea and coffee making facilities.

Castaway’s Watersport’s Activities Centre provides guests with free use of non motorized water activities including glass bottom boat coral viewing, kayaks, snorkelling gear, stand up paddle boards, hobie cats & wind surfing.
For a fee, guests can also enjoy PADI scuba diving, handline fishing, night snorkelling, sports game fishing, surfing, parasailing, water skiing, banana boat rides, knee boarding, jet skiing, island hopping by speed boat, dolphin safaris, champagne picnics, or visit “Cloud 9” a 2 level floating platform at Ro Ro Reef with a pizzeria, bar & DJ keeping it lively.
Land activities include tennis, beach volley ball, cooking demonstrations & spa treatments. Castaway has 2 swimming pools including a family pool and a “quiet zone” pool.
Castaway has 4 restaurants including the main resort restaurant Water’s Edge offering beachside a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner with twice weekly themed evenings, Restaurant 1808 serving Fijian-Asian fusion cuisine that incorporates farm-fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs, Nuku Maru Pool Bar & Grill offering casual all day dining poolside and The Sundowner Bar & Grill where guests can enjoy casual cocktails and takeaway pizza.
A complimentary supervised Kids Club for 3 to 12 year olds runs from 9am to 9pm daily and kids under 5 eat free. Babysitting services are available for a fee.
The resort also offers a daily program designed especially for teens including snorkelling lessons and guided reef snorkelling, glass bottom boat exploration over the island’s fringing reef, Fijian basket weaving, touch footy on the beach, scavenger hunts, underwater treasure hunts, beach volleyball, and family bush walks.
Located within the Mamanuca Island group, Castaway Island is 10 – 15 minutes by helicopter or seaplane from Nadi, or 1 to 2 hours by water taxi or daily launch subject to schedule from Denarau Marina.
