Where untouched nature meets timeless island hospitality in the heart of the Pacific…

Set across 64 acres of lush rainforest and a pristine stretch of private white-sand beach on the island of Koror, Palau Pacific Resort embraces a timeless island character shaped by its natural surroundings. The resort has chosen to preserve much of its original design, offering a glimpse into a classic era of Pacific hospitality that continues to resonate with loyal returning guests.

Cottage-style accommodation reflects traditional Palauan influences and a relaxed sense of place, whilst it’s newest offering, the Pristine Villas and Bungalows, introduces a more contemporary layer — an exclusive enclave designed for travellers seeking greater privacy, modern finishes and an elevated resort experience.

Beachfront Suites
The resort’s four Beachfront Suites offer generous space and direct proximity to the beach, featuring a large living area partially separated from the bedroom for added comfort and privacy. Suites are available with either one king-size bed or twin bedding configurations, making them suitable for couples or small families seeking additional space.

Oceanfront Suites
Among the most spacious accommodation within the original resort, the four Oceanfront Suites enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the Pacific Ocean. Each suite features a separate living room, ensuite bathroom and king-size bed, creating a more elevated residential-style stay while retaining the resort’s classic island character.

Pristine Villas & Bungalows — A Resort Within a Resort

Introduced as a new chapter for the property, the Pristine Villas and Bungalows opened in 2015 (Water Bungalows) and 2019 (Pool Villas) offering a distinctly more refined and private experience within the broader resort grounds. Set discreetly within lush tropical gardens, this exclusive enclave operates as a “resort within a resort,” complete with its own lobby, library, lounge, swimming pool and dedicated restaurant.

Comprising just 12 villas — including overwater bungalows and private pool villas — the Pristine collection represents the first overwater and pool villa accommodation in both Palau and Micronesia, marking a significant evolution in luxury accommodation for the destination.

Guests staying within the Pristine Villas & Bungalows enjoy enhanced privacy and contemporary comforts while maintaining full access to all facilities at Palau Pacific Resort.

Water Bungalows

The five overwater bungalows sit above the calm lagoon, offering panoramic views toward Palau’s iconic rock islands. Large sliding glass doors open onto private furnished terraces with chaise lounges and shaded seating — an idyllic setting for relaxation or a romantic dinner. Steps from the deck provide direct ocean access for swimming and snorkelling.

Pool Villas

Tucked within a secluded cove surrounded by nature, the pool villas offer a tranquil retreat with private swimming pools and spacious indoor–outdoor living areas.

Accommodation options include:

  • Five Lagoon View Pool Villas overlooking calm ocean waters
  • Two Pond View Pool Villas facing a peaceful lotus pond

Decorated in an island-inspired style with modern amenities, these villas provide the resort’s most contemporary accommodation experience while maintaining a strong connection to Palau’s natural environment.

Activities

Palau Pacific Resort is designed for travellers seeking immersion rather than spectacle.

A 250-metre private beach encourages effortless discovery, with calm waters ideal for snorkelling, paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming directly from shore. The on-site Splash Dive Centre provides access to Palau’s world-renowned underwater world, offering guided diving and snorkelling experiences for both beginners and experienced divers alike.

Beyond the shoreline, forest trails weave through the property’s lush grounds, home to endemic birdlife and native ecosystems. Guided nature walks and the resort’s dedicated Nature Center offer insight into Palau’s extraordinary biodiversity and conservation efforts, deepening guests’ connection to the destination.

For moments of relaxation and recreation, guests can unwind at the Elilai Spa by Mandara Spa, enjoy two outdoor championship tennis courts, or maintain wellness routines at the resort’s activity centre, equipped with cardiovascular and strength-training facilities, alongside two Jacuzzis for post-adventure relaxation.

Dining

Coconut Terrace Restaurant

The resort’s signature dining venue overlooking the ocean, serving international cuisine alongside Asian and Pacific-inspired dishes. Guests can enjoy extensive breakfast offerings, fresh seafood specialties, and themed dinner evenings in an open-air tropical setting.

Meduu Ribtal Restaurant

A refined oceanfront dining experience featuring panoramic sea views. The menu highlights grilled seafood, premium meats, and international favourites, making it an ideal setting for sunset dinners and special occasions.

Mesekiu Waterhole

A relaxed beachfront gathering place perfect for casual lunches, tropical cocktails, and light bites enjoyed with uninterrupted sea views. As evening approaches, it becomes a favourite location for sunset drinks.

Sunset Beer Garden

Open daily from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, the Sunset Beer Garden offers a relaxed gathering space overlooking the ocean and evening sky. With both indoor and outdoor seating and panoramic sunset views, it provides a casual setting to unwind at the end of the day. Guests can enjoy local draft beers, wine and a selection of savoury appetisers

Experiential Dining

For guests seeking something more intimate, private dining experiences can be arranged throughout the resort — from romantic beachfront dinners to personalised celebrations beneath the stars.

Location & Access

Palau Pacific Resort is located on the island of Koror, set along a private stretch of coastline overlooking a calm lagoon and the vast Pacific Ocean beyond. The resort is approximately a 25-minute drive from Roman Tmetuchl International Airport (ROR), while Palau itself lies just over six hours’ flying time from Brisbane, making it one of the Pacific’s most accessible remote marine destinations. Its private beach — recognised as a conservation area — offers snorkelling directly from shore, with Palau’s world-renowned dive sites and UNESCO-listed Rock Islands easily reached by nearby boat excursions.

Family Travel

Palau Pacific Resort is well suited to families seeking a nature-led island experience rather than a highly programmed resort environment. While the resort does not offer a dedicated kids’ club, its expansive tropical grounds, calm lagoon waters and relaxed atmosphere naturally encourage shared exploration and time together.

The protected beach provides gentle swimming and easy snorkelling directly from shore, allowing children to discover vibrant marine life in a safe and accessible setting. Across Palau, experiences such as kayaking through the Rock Islands, boat excursions and wildlife encounters transform the destination itself into an outdoor classroom — ideal for curious, ocean-loving families.

For families who value connection, adventure and meaningful time in nature over structured activities, Palau Pacific Resort offers a rewarding and memorable island stay.

Our View

The charm of Palau Pacific Resort lies in its natural setting, however the Pristine Villas & Bungalows provide a more private and elevated stay. Paired with guided marine experiences and private touring, they offer the most seamless way to experience Palau in optimum comfort and tranquillity.

Best Time to Travel

Palau is a year-round destination, with warm tropical temperatures and excellent marine visibility throughout much of the year. The calmest conditions are typically experienced between November and April, when seas are generally gentler and ideal for snorkelling, kayaking and island exploration.

From May to October, occasional tropical showers bring lush landscapes and thriving marine life, making this an excellent period for divers, particularly during manta ray season around German Channel. Rainfall is usually brief and interspersed with long periods of sunshine, rarely impacting overall travel enjoyment.
