Family Travel

The island of Soneva Fushi is a paradise for children, and is home to the largest dedicated kid’s club in South Asia, known as “The Den”.  Inspired by childhood wonder, younger guests have access to two pools, a water slide, an 8-metre-tall pirate ship, and rooms for dressing up, Lego building, music, and other activities. Qualified childminders oversee everything, while older children and teens can take advantage of the Soneva Academy to learn from expert Sonevians.

The Den’s program is full of exciting and unique activities, including pool parties, Eco Centro tours, cooking classes, Movie Night Under The Stars, and a Sandbank Mocktail Party. Hosts are on hand to facilitate playtime, storytime, shadow puppets, and more. The Den and its program are designed for children aged four and above, although children of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of four must be accompanied by a parent or babysitter at all times, and babysitting services are available for USD 25++ per hour.

Our View

The original barefoot hideaway, Soneva Fushi is a natural paradise where guests can embrace the slow life philosophy.  This resort is a perfect haven for a wonderful family getaway with its diverse range of accommodation and dining options perfectly catering to mutli-generational travel. Insiders tip: choose the sunset side of the island for privacy.

Best Time to Travel

Although the Maldives is an all season destination with a tropical climate and mostly sunshine-filled days, the best time to travel to Soneva Fushi is during the dry season (December to April) if you want sunny weather and calm seas, however don’t shy away from the wet season (May to November) if you don’t mind occasional rain and wish to enjoy the more plentiful marine life due to higher quantities of plankton in the water.
