Wakaya Club & Spa is an intimate luxury resort that delivers a personalised experience with unscripted moments. Located on a naturally sublime, private island in the Lomaiviti Island Group in the Koro Sea, Fiji, the lush and wild surrounds provide an authentic and immersive cultural Fijian experience, however it is the privacy and exclusivity of Wakaya that guests consider utmost luxury.
Just 32 guests at any time are invited to partake in this generously inclusive atmosphere, where everything from the organic culinary delicacies to the extensive range of island experiences is included. Enjoy a private beach picnic, play a round of golf through a coconut grove, enjoy a complimentary massage or a couple’s treatment, snorkel and dive through the protected Marine Park, trek miles and traverse the island, and ultimately feel the rich Fijian cultural connection of this heavenly hideaway. The village on the island has 125 people living there year round, and there are opportunities to visit the school and attend a church service on a Sunday, if interested.

Accommodation options include:
7 Ocean View bures and 1 Garden View Bure. Each spacious air-conditioned planter style cottage is 1650 square feet & features a large bedroom with a 4 poster king-size bed, expansive bath area including oversized soaking tub & outdoor lava rock shower stall, a separate rattan-furnished timber lined living room with wet bar, iPod, docking station & CD sound system, and a seaside verandah. Complimentary wifi access is available throughout the resort.
Yasi Bure (2400 sq feet) features an over-sized bedroom with vast closet space and a king size bed clad in the finest Fili D’Oro 100% cotton sheets from Italy, a sumptuous bathroom suite with Jacuzzi bathtub, two vanities, open-air lava rock shower and separate W.C. and bidet, and a gracious living room including a bar, tea and coffee, television and a sound system. Yasi Bure has two large covered outdoor decks (front and back), a secluded garden with waterfall with a path leading to the beach.
Vale Levu, the largest suite at Wakaya, is a glamorous oceanfront 4,500 square foot 2-bedroom retreat, designed for two couples or four people. Each of the two bedrooms feature a king bed clad in the finest Fili D’Oro 100% cotton sheets from Italy, spacious walk-in closet, writing desk, luxuriously appointed bathroom, including two separate vanities, a private outdoor shower, generous soaking tub—designed for two—and separate W.C. with bidet. This spacious and luxurious air-conditioned bure features a separate living room with a dining area for up to six guests, and, its very own Spa which includes two treatment rooms replete with a relaxation area, which has its own private Plunge/Water Shiatsu Pool Lanai.
In addition to the 10 cottages, Wakaya also offers the exquisite “Vale O”, a 3 bedroom, 12,000 square foot villa located on a 16 acre hilltop estate with panoramic ocean views. The property features a rock-rimmed pool with a waterfall and Jacuzzi, a night-lit tennis court, and a Boules court. Vale’O guests enjoy the services of a dedicated household staff including a personal chef and an on-call driver. A Vale’O vacation also includes full use of all Wakaya Club & Spa facilities. In addition, Vale’O has wireless Internet and iPod connections.
The newest addition to The Wakaya Club & Spa, Sega Na Leqa, is one of the most stunning examples of a luxurious retreat in the Southern Hemisphere. The name of the home is pronounced “Zenga Na Lenga” and is the Fijian phrase for “No Worries.” Sega Na Leqa has a master wing, with two separate bathrooms and exercise rooms and an exercise pool, in addition to an incredibly spacious living area including; a state-of-the-art kitchen, a library, Grand Foyer, and Great Hall. The home also features a private guest suite, replete with a living room, a bedroom featuring a king size bed and plunging pool and bathroom. The grounds surrounding Sega Na Leqa meld seamlessly with the exquisite landscape of Wakaya Island. The 38m (125 feet), infinity edge swimming pool has an integrated spa pool and allows for a myriad of entertainment possibilities.
Wakaya’s vast coconut plantations and marine reserve offer a natural playground for range of land and sea based activities. Guests can participate in escorted nature walks and challenging hikes, nine-hole golf, croquet, tennis, beach volleyball, cooking classes, yoga and meditation or work out in the resort’s state of the art gym.
The Island is surrounded by one of the few classified Marine Reserves as well as being a short boat ride from some of the greatest dive locations. Guests can snorkel amongst the giant clams, and other abundant sea life in the Marine Reserve around the Island, enjoy paddle board and pedal boarding, kayaking, fishing and sailing.
Guests can also enjoy cultural experiences include native songfests and Fijian performances, Fijian lovo dining experiences, hand craft weaving and carving lessons.
At the Breeze Spa, guests can luxuriate in a wide variety of body treatments, facials and massages designed to create a nurturing and healing experience
A team of up and coming Fijian chefs work side by side to create unique and beautiful dishes in order to surprise the most discerning palates. Ingredients are grown and sourced locally embracing a farm to table and ocean to table concept.
Wakaya offers a variety of options for guests to enjoy their meals. Guests can choose from the resort’s flagship restaurant, The Palm Grove, or intimate beach house, Baravi Lai Lai, a beach cookout, or dining poolside.
Additionally, Wakaya can provide more exclusive and private options such as a picnic on a private beach, or in guests’ own suite.
Wakaya Club and Spa is situated in the Lomaiviti Group of Islands, a 35 minute Air Wakaya charter service from Nadi or 12 minute Air Wakaya charter service from Nausori.
Wakaya Club is available for private buyout for the ultimate private getaway for families and groups. There is no Kids Club at the resort, children are only permitted at the resort during a buyout.
